Join us for a national day of action to protest the complicity of the ABC.

The ABC is not reporting the targetting of journalists in Gaza as a war crime. They fail to report on the numerous human rights investigations, over decades, that identify israel’s systemic targetting of Palestinian journalists. They continue to quote the army that is committing crimes against humanity and the regime that is wanted for war crimes.

The malpractice of western media in reporting on Palestine makes them complicit in the death of journalists in Gaza.

Journalists whose footage the ABC uses but who aren’t deemed worthy of protection.

Yesterday, 23 year old Al Jazeera journalist, Hossam Shabat, was targetted and killed by the IOF. He was murdered as part of israel’s campaign of silencing the truth. You can read the obituary Hossam wrote for himself last year when he was named in a hit list by the IOF.

This action is for Hossam, for Mohamed Mansour, also killed yesterday, and for all the journalists and their families.
