Global Day for Gaza demonstration in Newcastle

We are mobilising because Israel’s systematic genocide against the Palestinian people has not stopped for the last three years and has not slowed. Hollow international statements have not protected Palestinian life. A so-called ceasefire has not ended daily killing. Collective public action is therefore being advanced not as gesture, but as intervention.

Peaceful family event. Bring a blanket, enjoy the sunshine.

Speakers include:

• Joanne mother of one of the Sumud participants;

• Cam, First Nations;

• Jeanette performing Michale Rosen poem ‘Don’t Mention the Children’;

• Fish from the anti-Astra AeroLab campaign;

• Alan singing an old blues ‘None of Us Are Free’;

• Lucy Miller Greens State candidate and possibly Amanda Cohn who'll talk about IHRA;

• Niko singing ‘Imagine Tomorrow with Zionism Gone’;

• and Farooq to wrap up.

Ali from Food Not Bombs has created some lovely biscuits, there will be stalls, info to take away, and a contact list of you want to be involved in the longer-term campaign.
